Dr. Nelanthi Hewa is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Annenberg School for Communication's Center for Collaborative Communication at the University of Pennsylvania.
Hi! I'm a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, where I work with Dr. Sarah Banet-Weiser. My work is supported by a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) of Canada Postdoctoral Fellowship and by the Center for Collaborative Communication. My doctoral thesis studied how the labour conditions of journalists and ideas around privacy/publicity online shape and structure the coverage of sexual violence in Canada.

My doctoral studies were supported by a SSHRC Canada Graduate Scholarship and an Ontario Graduate Scholarship, and I was affiliated with the Digital Research Ethics Collaboratory and the Knowledge Media Design Institute at the University of Toronto.
